IEEE LGU Student Branch Founded
The IEEE LGU Student Branch was officially founded in October 2025, establishing a student-led platform for technical growth, professional development, collaboration, and innovation at Lahore Garrison University.
Representation at IEEE Faisalabad Subsection Event (FSYWC’25)
The IEEE LGU Student Branch proudly represented the university at the IEEE Faisalabad Subsection Event 2025 (FSYWC’25). The branch was honored with the “Great Ambassador” Certificate, recognizing its active participation and leadership. The event provided valuable opportunities for networking, learning, and collaboration with industry professionals and peers.
Participation in Codex 3.0 Competition
The IEEE LGU Student Branch actively participated in the Codex 3.0 Competition held at Nambal University. Demonstrating strong expertise in Artificial Intelligence, the team secured 3rd position in AI Prompt Engineering. This achievement highlights the branch’s growing competence in modern AI techniques and competitive problem-solving.
Participation in Cyber Forensics Session
The IEEE LGU Student Branch participated in an informative session titled “Explore the World of Cyber Forensics” held at LGU. The session provided valuable insights into digital evidence, cybercrime investigation, and modern cybersecurity practices. Participation in Computing Fest 2026
The IEEE LGU Student Branch successfully participated in Computing Fest 2026 at the University of Economics Lahore. Students engaged in a variety of technical events, including prompt engineering competitions, hackathons, and project showcases. Afshan Farooq and Abdullah Attari secured 1st position in the Software Engineering Project category
During Computing Fest 2026, Afshan Farooq achieved a remarkable milestone by securing 1st position in the Software Engineering Project category. This accomplishment reflects the high standard of academic and technical excellence maintained by students associated with the IEEE LGU Student Branch.
AI Session with CEO of Alif AI
An impactful AI session was conducted featuring Arsalan Ihsan, CEO of Alif AI. The session introduced students to a structured 60-day AI learning roadmap, designed to guide them in building practical skills and advancing their careers in the AI domain.
